Go to your local reference library and sift through the books on Trust Funds, you will find many relating to youth projects, sailing, travel and adventure. Once you have organised your trip, you will be able to apply for grants.
Jumble sales, event organising, abseiling down a local building will also create interest from the press, who will help promote your trip and your need for finance!
